Okay! Right now I’m looking for 2 people to join KD Games
And work with me on making games and resources! Here’s the guidelines:
-must be able to contact me
Twitter = @kdgames
-must have Gimp 2.6+
-must know how to use rmvx ace
-if leaving for a few or more days, notify me ahead of time.
-i will be the final word on all resources, games and other if they are to be used in a game.
Do this with me and we’ll be making games like crazy! It’ll be a real team. Maybe even make a commercial game or two!
The game is coming along… but I’ve always been flip-floppy with making games. I love it but never totally satisfied.
I’m really wanting to use the Luna Engine that Archeia and others are making. I get to make my own graphics and I’ll make some for everyone else to use too! Hooray KD!
So yeah… anyways. Chaos Portal keeps coming up with more stuff too. If I had a internet for my computer I’d Google translate it. I’m using some of their stuff, it looks good too.
I tend to go between graphics, scripts, and styles of stuff. Flip floppy. Never really having anything solid. If I knew how to script, had a scripted or team, I could totally make something great, I have a billion ideas that requires scripting, and making a huge system with those.
Nuff’ said, the game may come in parts or episodes or as a whole, keep looking for updates!
Guys, if you have trouble with an event or game design or whatever, I will absolutely help you no questions. Just message me on Twitter or Facebook:
Valiant- Secrets is coming along, it’s short but I’m making it look good too! And maybe some of these features will transfer over to the next game.
Ok so the origianl idea for Valiant didn’t go so well. So now I’m remaking it: Valiant – Secrets.
I’m forging the system right now getting all sharpened up for smooth gameplay and adding some neat features! It’ll be a short game and possibly multiple endings 🙂
After playing Fey, I thought I could do better with my games. Not so much sprite wise, but story and emotionally and all that stuff that really makes the game more enjoyable… even if it makes you cry at the end.
Seriously… I see good maps, maps that need working on.. dear god what did you do.
Some of these makers, like have a good system going but half-ass it with other things.
Here’s the tip: when you map houses, make them proportionate. If they’re 2 tiles high, make the roof 3-4 tiles high. Not 1. This way it doesn’t look terrible. Map not big enough? Adjust it. Every good game out there has had to have gone through adjustments even if it meant remapping or completely redoing the game. I should know, I do it all the time.
So make sure you put some thought and effort when you’re mapping.
So I’ve been kinda lazy yet really active lately… yeah. Forgetting to post stuff on twitter AND facebook, but I’ve been working on Valiant and kinda came to a stump even though I know what I’m making next. Aaanyway, I have a plan for a short, not so 20 hour long, game with Falcao’s Pearl ABS, Similar to my favorite ABS game on the psp, Ys but with more story and dialogue. Never heard of it? Use YouTube. And yes, it’s called ‘Ys’ (pronounced Wise).
So here is my first release of edited tiles, and some will require the Mack Tileset, and all will require basic tileset setup knowledge.
-Barrels and Crates
-Interior Edits (requires Mack Tiles)
-Foliage 1 (requires Mack Tiles)
-Dungeon Addon 1
-Foliage 3 Recolors (from Mack)
-Dark Forest A1
-Dark Forest A2
-Dark Dungeon A1
-Dark Dungeon A2
And that’s all, I hope you enjoy them I put a lot of time and effort making these!
These are free to use in Non-Commercial games.

Here’s a good tip, organize all of your scripts into sections. You can do this by using:
Blah blah etc.
You can also name the scripts so they’re easy to find. Personally, I use this:
YEA | Battle System
Why? Well I know YEA is Yanfly Engine Ace, the | is a separator, and that it’s the battle system. I always use the three capitalized letters to find it and credit them properly without having to do a ton of searches.
I hope this helped you organize your scripts better for you or your team’s use!
Here’s a simple way to make a Push Boulder without all the pesky conditional branches:
-choose your graphic and name the event
-make sure it’s set to ‘Same as…’
-check ‘Walking Animation’
-put ‘Set Move Route’ to ‘Move Away from Player’ and add a SE if you want and ‘Wait for Completion’ if you want as well
-Set the ‘Move Speed’ to Normal or High
And you’re done!
Now you just have to copy it and make a non-cliche puzzle for your dungeons.
